Knowing the symptoms, facts and causes of Insomnia sleep disorders


Insomnia – Is common sleep disorder, this can be happen when people have difficulties to sleep or to stay sleep eventhough they want to, usually the symtomps followed by body functional disorders.

A. Facts


Psychological problem

Insomnia usually caused by some disease or caused by psychological problem, in this case the patient need medical treatment,  one of the effective treatment to cure insomnia is conducting cognitive therapy.  In cognitive therapy, the patient will be taught to improve right sleeping habit and to eliminate counter-produtive assumption about sleep.


Sleeping pils

Many people who suffer from insomnia are dependent on the sleeping pills or others sedative substances to be able to sleep without knowing that kind of subtances could lead to psychological assumption that they can't sleep without taking it.

B. Diagnose

There are soo many misconception in diagnosing insomnia, sometimes delayed sleep phase syndrome is mistakenly considered as insomnia, in fact these are totally two diffrents things. In order to achieved proper medical dignose and treatment, patient should seek help to competent medical service.

Factors that in diagnose

In diagnosing insomnia, it should take into account several  factors which is included:
·         Sleep patterns of the patient
·         The use of certain medication
·         Stress levels
·         Medical history
·         Physical activity
·         Consumption of alcohol and drugs
Those are several factors that affecting the patient, each factor should be examined deeply in   order to understand the real cause of the insomnia so that the medical treatment could be done correctly.

 

C. Cause

Insomnia is not a disease, but it is symptom that caused by several factors and  lead to some disorders emotionally, physically. It can occur to any ages of people both young and elder. Sometimes the symptoms arise in conjunction with emotional disorders, such as anxiety, restlessness, depression or fear, even sometimes the cause is just simply because the body and the brain are not even tire to sleep.

 

Changes in sleeping patterns

By the age increased, sleeping time will more likely to be decreased, and also sleep stadium is likely to be shorter, this will cause the exhausted feeling even after good amount of sleeping time.
People at elderly ages seem to experience condition where they suddenly awake in the middle of sleeping in the night. Some people might sleep normally, awake after couple hours of sleep, and find difficulties to continue their sleep afterwards.
